This Little Piggy Went To Market
Last week we sent 11 pigs to market. The pasture sure looks empty now with only 13 running around. We are about to pick up (next week) what will hopefully be our last batch of purchased piglets.
Out of the 13 in the pasture, 11 are gilts (young female pigs), hopefully 8 of them are expecting and we should start having piglets born within about 5 weeks.
This will change our sales slightly, we will hopefully be supplying both finished pork, and have excess piglets for those who want to raise their own.
